I am William Gotschal, an 5th year architecture student pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Pennsylvania College of Technology. I grew up in Bloomsburg, the only "town" in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School as valedictorian where I was both a member of and competed in SkillsUSA. After graduating high school I began attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2022 where I currently study architecture. In my free time I usually play video games, scroll TikTok, or hang out with friends.

About

My fourth studio class was heavily centered on passive design, occupant comfort, and energy reduction. Throughout that class I learned how to make a building more efficient and this sparked great interest in the topic from there on out.

Sustainability

Unfortunately, both my high school and college education didn't touch on interior design that much so I've haven't gotten the opportunity to learn many aspects of both interior architecture and design. I want to learn about color theory and composition, efficient space planning, and how to transform a space from a room with walls into an experience that attracts the occupants.

Interior Design

Residential Architecture

The first two years of my college education were focused on general architecture, hand drawing, and a mix of different styles of practice. Over the years I've grown an interest towards residential architecture rather than commercial design. To put it plain and simple, it's usually less complex, more personal, and has a greater influence on the human experience.

My Moto

Always have someone else look over your work before you submit it.
